| Built in the 19th century Newfield Hall stands proudly at the end of a tree-lined drive in two acres of mature grounds with spectacular views across the fells. Designated as non-smoking it has 45 bedrooms equipped with a hairdryer clock radio and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. Flatscreen TVs are provided in the bedrooms.Guests can enjoy the heated indoor swimming pool and play table tennis in the games room or relax in the two lounges and bar. Outdoors there is a putting green.Accommodation through LateRooms is on a BandB basis. A choice of full English or continental breakfast is offered. A three-course dinner is available on request at a price of £22.95 and served at 7 to 7.30pm. Please contact the house if you wish to have dinner on your night of arrival. All meals are served in an informal friendly atmosphere at tables for up to 10 guests.Free car parking is available. Please notify the Country House in advance if you intend to arrive after 10.30pm. Bedrooms are available from 2.30pm on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.The Country House is an excellent base for those on an activity or walking holiday with access to the Pennine Way which leads north to Malham Cove just a few minutes' walk from the Country House. Harrogate is 30 miles away and York with its Jorvik Viking Centre and railway museum is 50 miles away. |
